Reservations 

The museum is opened with free admission. To maintain the quality of the visit, individuals or groups are required to complete the online reservation prior to the visit.

The system is opened for 24 hours, providing reservation services on all opening days starting from the following day to the end of next month; reservation on the day shown is not accepted.

Opening Hours

The museum is opened from 10:00 to 17:00, and restrained from visiting between 12:00 and 13:30. Closed every Monday and the first, third, and the fifth Saturdays. Announcement will be made if otherwise.

The museum will remain open if a typhoon occurs unless announced by Tainan County Government that all businesses will be closed on that day. All special activities scheduled will then be cancelled once the announcement has been made.

Guided Tours

1. Demonstrations on mechanical musical instruments are available during museum opening  hours.

  Demonstration hours: 10:20, 11:20, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00.

2. Guided tours (in Chinese) are available on weekends (not available on weekdays).

  Service hours: 10:20, 11:20, 14:30, 15:30

  ＊Any occasional change will be made in accordance with the announcement on that day.

3.Audio Tour Guide service is provided for rent (NT$100 / Player) in three languages: Chinese, English, Japanese.

Attention

1. Eating or drinking, smoking, chewing gum or betel nut are prohibited inside the museum. Visitors are asked not to bring alcohol into the museum.

2. Visitors who are improperly dressed (including wearing flip-flops or sandals) or those who   bring pets or dangerous goods will be refused to enter the museum.

3. Photography, filming, and sound recording are not allowed inside the museum, and please  keep umbrellas and large items in the briefing room.

4. To preserve the collections, air-conditioning in the exhibition space is lower than room temperature; please bring warm clothes if needed.

5. Please keep voices down, and switch off mobile phones while inside the museum. Groups are prohibited to use amplifiers. Please abide by all museum regulations. Thank you for your cooperation.

By car (on the freeway)

 Exit the National Freeway No.1 at the Jen-Te Interchange (Rende/Tainan Exit) and follow the signs towards Jen-Te, take Chung-Cheng Road to reach the museum.

or

Take the National Freeway No.1 and then turn onto Expressway 86 (towards Guan Miau), take the Rende/Gueiren Exit, and follow the signs towards Hunei, then take Chung-Cheng Road to reach the museum.

or

Take the National Freeway No.3, exit the Guan-Miau Interchange onto Expressway 86, then take the Rende/Gueiren Exit, and follow the signs towards Hunei, then take Chung-Cheng Road to reach the museum.

By car (on the provincial highway)

Exit the Provincial Highway No.1 onto Chung-Cheng Road and continue towards Pao-An Industrial District. Chi Mei Museum is located 2 km passed Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science.

By rail or bus

A commuter train service is available from Tainan Station to Pao-An Station. Alternatively, take the Tainan Transportation buses towards Chang Jung Christian University and get off at the Chi Mei Corporation stop.

By High Speed Rail
Taxis are available from the High Speed Rail Tainan Station to Chi Mei Museum.
